1.09.2003 - FI-domain registration released
The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority’s (FICORA) new service automation system will be opened for Finnish domain name applications on Monday 1 September 2003, at 8:00 a.m.
In exceptional cases, it is possible to apply for a domain name and pay for it at FICORA’s customer service, where a customer adviser handles the applications and enters them into the system in the order of the applicants’ arrival. FICORA’s customer service and access to the service automation system on the Internet will be available simultaneously. However, it is more convenient to use the Internet.
A domain name application will become pending only through FICORA’s service automation system. FICORA will not handle applications that arrive by mail, fax or e-mail.
The fee for a new domain name is 60 euros for three years.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications made a decision on the new domain name service fees on 21 August 2003. According to the decree entering into force on 1 September, the domain name fee will be 55 euros. The fee will be charged for a new domain name application, a name change of a domain name and a transfer of a domain name to a new holder. A domain name is valid for three years without renewal. There are no separate annual fees. A fee of 22 euros will be charged for name server changes.
You can submit your order for FI-domain registration to our customer service: ie.info@axndata.fi
